Date set for Kevin Jones' civil suit | News

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- The trial date is set in the civil suit Kevin Jones filed against two officers in the Nona Dirksmeyer murder investigation.
A federal judge set it for Feb. 11, 2013.
You'll recall -- a jury acquitted Jones in the murder. He is suing Russellville police Detective Mark Frost and former police chief James Bacon -- claiming they ignored evidence pointing to another suspect.
The other suspect - Gary Dunn - was eventually tried twice, but released after both ordeals ended in mistrial.
Frost and Bacon argue in court papers that Jones received a fair trial.
Last week in a THV Extra, Liz Massey sat down with Jones to talk about this lawsuit and life after the murder trial. You can see it -- plus an extended interview with Jones -- at todaysthv.com.
